MacBooks have much better performance than other laptops

MacBook Vs. Windows Vs. Chromebook: Who’s the Winner?

posted in: Articles

Till a couple of years ago, buying a laptop was easy. If you were an iOS person, you simply chose the MacBook, and if you were more of a Windows person, you’d get a Windows laptop. Today, things are a lot more complicated. Today, not only are there multiple models within MacBook and Windows, but you also have Chromebooks as well.

But we’re going to settle this debate once and for all: MacBook vs. Windows vs. Chromebook, who’s the winner?

Round 1: MacBook vs. Windows – Which is Better?

The MacBook vs. Windows debate is an old and long-fought one. You can probably still find proponents of both sides willing to engage in an intense discussion over which is better. Of course, both systems have their benefits and drawbacks.

Windows is a popular choice among people looking for laptops for basic use. There’s a wide variety to choose from, which can be a curse as well as a blessing. They’re pretty versatile and easy to use for people who aren’t very tech-savvy.

But that’s about it, though. It’s just a good basic laptop. If you really want to upgrade its performance, make it more secure, etc., you’ll have to do all the tweaking and upgrading yourself or by a professional.

A MacBook, on the other hand, is known for its powerful performance. When you think sleek, fast, and futuristic, you immediately think of a MacBook. While it does come with a learning curve, those who get used to it can never go back to anything else.

We’d say the winner of this round is the MacBook. Let’s move to Round 2!

Round 2: Which is Better Between a MacBook and Chromebook?

Chromebooks are relatively new in the market. They’re pretty inexpensive and great for students on a budget. Since they don’t have any heavy specifications, they’re quite fast too and much more secure than Windows laptops.

However, again, they’re just very basic laptops. Imagine everything that you do on your regular Chrome browser. That’s pretty much all you can do on your Chromebook. You can’t run all your favourite programs, you can’t do much without an internet connection, and the lower price often comes at the cost of other essential features, such as display and speaker quality.

We’ve already described the MacBook’s superior performance and overall system. The only factor where it might lack behind is the price. Compared to Windows and Chromebooks, MacBooks are definitely the most expensive.

However, we’d say that it makes up for it through its durable design and premium construction. A MacBook can easily last you a couple of years without many complaints. In comparison, Windows and Chromebooks don’t tend to have that long of a life and experience bugs and breakdowns much more frequently.

Final Verdict

Well, the results are out. After carefully tallying the scores of the MacBook vs. Windows vs. Chromebook challenge, the winner is the MacBook. Overall, it has a much superior build and construction, hardware, and software. It’s fast, it’s versatile, it’s easy to use (eventually), and it lets you do everything you could want to do on a laptop.
